I'm 9 months!!

Really it's more like AWWAAHHHAWAHHHHH!

Our sweet Addison is nine months today. It is crazy to think it has been nine whole months since she was born. Wow how the time flies, and how I just love every minute of it.

Our sweet little girl has her first cold. She started to get a little cough on Saturday but I thought is was just from teething. But then Sunday night it seemed to get worse. Good thing we had her 9 month checkup on Monday. We went in and sure enough Dr. Memmott said she has a little cold. Sad there is nothing you can do for a cold but just wait it out. Addison has been such a trooper. You would hardly believe she was sick, she is always smiling and ready to play.

Here are her stats from the checkup

Height 27 1/2 inches (50% tile)

Weight 16.8 lbs (18% title)

Here are some of the things Addison is doing:

  • Pulling herself up on everything and anything she can.
  • Crawling
  • Cuddling with dad, yeah Tim loves to cuddle with her on the couch.
  • Playing Peek-a-Boo.
  • Looking for the tiniest things and then trying to pick it up with her little fingers. And then you guessed it, tries to put it right in her mouth.
  • Holds her own bottle.
  • Talking lots. Well more like making noises like Aaaahhhhh!

It is amazing how curious and fast our little ones learn. It is such a joy to see them progress.

Lake Tahoe...but first

I'd like to thank my friend Muranda Barker for giving me a little Blogging 101. Muranda gave me lots of great tips and pointers. And after an hour or more, I was finally able to upload my pictures. Seriously who knew it could be so difficult to post a picture. Well Tim has a pretty nice camera so all his pictures were to big etc. so I had to resize them. I now know that I need to take pictures with our other digital camera for blogging and not Tim's nice camera. Thanks again Muranda for all your help and patience with me, I greatly appreciate it!!

Last week we were able to go and spend some time in Lake Tahoe with Tim's family. That was our first time going there. It was absolutely beautiful. The Lake was this amazing blue color. Anyone that has been there knows what I am talking about. If you haven't been there I definitely recommend you go. It was lots of fun hanging out with Tim's family. We spent one day at Sand Harbor. Tim, his dad Kerry, Mary, Cam and Nancy, all went rock jumping. The water is very very cold so they are all very brave. Here is a pick of them coming back from rock jumping.

Tim's Uncle Dale and Aunt Margaret brought the Kayaks for everyone to enjoy.

I thought this picture was so cute of the kids I just had to post it. I can't take all the credit for the great shot. It was Mary's cute idea.

Sunday after church we decided it would be fun to drive around the lake to Emerald Bay. We stayed at Kings Beach, which is at the North shore of the lake. Emerald Bay is by the South shore. So yes we drove around the whole lake. The drive was a little longer then what we had planned, (yeah we didn't pack any treats or snacks) but I like Tim's optimistic approach when he says, "That it was all worth it after seeing this view."

No matter where we go there is always time to squeeze in a golf game. Tim's Uncle Dale and Aunt Margaret are members of the Montreux Golf and Country Club. Their beautiful house backs up to the 18th hole. We were able to go and have dinner with them at the Country Club and then Tim's uncle was nice to take them golfing on Monday. Tim absolutely loved it, and was really excited to go and play.

We had so much fun and we wanted to say thanks again to Dale and Margaret for showing us such a wonderful time. It was nice visiting with you guys. We hope we can visit again soon.
