One Amazing Quote

I was reading my friend, Steph's blog today and she had this amazing and inspiring quote by Sister Hinckley. I wanted to post it on my blog as well.

"I don't want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails. I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp. I want to be there with grass stains on my shoes from mowing Sister Schenk's lawn. I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbor's children. I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someones garden. I want to be there with children's sticky kisses on my cheeks and tears of a friend on my shoulder. I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived." -Marjorie Hinckley

I so needed to read that comment! I have been stressed out trying to get ready for company. My kids have either been sick or the others little devils. I'm so glad I read that quote to remind me of what's really important!

~ sorry to post this announcement on your blog but I don't have your email! There is a Chi-O dinner this coming tuesday at the Cheesecake Factory at 6:15. Should be a lot of fun and lots of Chi-os. Please tell whoever you can and hope to see you there!
~Steph p.s. I love this quote and am glad you used it too!

I love, love, love the quote. Isn't she the greatest? We totally missed you yesterday. I got your message later that night, and I have been running around with my head cut off trying to get packed for this trip, so I have been really bad about calling back. I'm finally done getting ready though. I have to pay you something for doing cards for me. They look so cute. My email is mrskatiewebb@yahoo.com. I would love to have you do one for me. Sorry I've been such a flake about calling back. Let's get together when I get home from my trip. You are the cutest ever. Thanks for everything.
